When will you fools realize it has nothing to do with luck or jinxing?

Reports suggest Giorgio Chiellini could return for Juventus against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

The Bianconeri face the German giants in the Champions League Last 16 next week, but have been battling an injury crisis.

Mario Mandzukic, Chiellini, Kwadwo Asamoah, Martin Caceres and Alex Sandro were all expected to be on the sidelines for the first leg in Turin, with Leonardo Bonucci a doubt.

However, following yesterday’s news that Alex Sandro’s injury is not as bad as first feared and Bonucci had returned to training, there could be further good news for Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

Tuttosport reports that Mandzukic is increasingly likely to be available, having managed to return quicker than expected.

At the other end of the pitch, Chellini is also fighting to be fit having initially been ruled out for 20 days with a muscular injury.

The Italian international will not play against Bologna tomorrow, but could be risked in one of Juve’s biggest games of the season.

“Rotation? The best team will play. Cuadrado is doing well, Alex Sandro won’t be available tomorrow but could be back on Tuesday.

Bonucci is available, yesterday he trained with the team. Khedira will be supervised. Mandzukic will be with us from Saturday, we’ll have a look at Chiellini for Tuesday, I don’t want to take risks.

Pereyra has 65-70 minutes in his legs I’d say, or he could be a useful option from the bench.

“Padoin could also replace Cuadrado. I’ll have a look in today’s training and see how we’re set.

Barzagli is in good shape. We played on Saturday so we’ve had time to recover for Bologna.

30. Marchisio / overloaded vastus lateralis muscle left thigh / 23 Feb (7 days)
31. Chiellini / overload of the soleus muscle in his right calf / 28 Feb (10 days)

Giorgio Chiellini will not be available for the San Siro clash. Having exited the field of play during the first half of Juventus’ league win over the Nerazzurri on Sunday evening, the defender underwent tests today, which ruled out any muscle tear, instead revealing an overload of the soleus muscle in his right calf. Chiellini is due to return to action in approximately ten days.

Mario Mandzukic and Claudio Marchisio are also absent from Allegri’s travelling party. The Croatian forward is being rested, while midfielder Marchisio will remain in Vinovo to continue working towards his return to full training with the first-team on Thursday.
