i'm a Christian but not a very good one but its expected since im 16. There is actually a graph which shows that from 4-12 we are good Christians 13-27 ish we are not good followers and then from 30 till we die we are good followers and have to make up for what we did in the bad period. Its not a fact but most people are like this. I'm not proud of not going to mass and stuff but i just cant help it. I find it too boring. But i still consider factors from the religion
where did 27 - 30 go?

Catholic for me

I studied once about sikhism and noted that it was composed of similar beliefs of Hinduism and Islam...

buddhism is a direct branch of hinduism because buddha is one of our 9 incarnations, and his teachings are all directly hindu.

sikhism is not in anyway related to hinduism, ofcourse some elements may have been taken from hinduism but they are two separate sets. i dont know much about sikhism except for what i have learned from friends and other ppl that are sikhs.

I'm a Christian.

I don't follow traditions for the sake of tradition, or do anything out of obligation or fear of punishment if I don't do the right thing, but simply as a natural reaction of gratitude. I don't even like to use the word "religion", because it sounds so rigid and forced; I just think of it as my friendship and relationship with my Creator and Saviour.

I devote my life to Christ because I believe he took the bullet for me, and I'm secure in knowing that I've got nothing to fear once I die. Not because I've lived a better life than anyone else, or because I'm a better person, or because I've gone to church more or said more prayers, but because I simply accepted the free gift of Salvation offered to me.

I'm in Korea for a year for work, and also making some extra money teaching English. I'm pretty darn busy these days so I can't post much, but it's good to drop in every now and then :) nice to see you too man ;)

Sikhism came out of Hinduism and Islam.

I guess Rami has no objections, so I'll go ahead in a little bit, after I take my physics test

Sikhism shares Islam’s espoused distaste for ritual and the trappings of ritual, though both faiths do have certain regular rites of prayer. Both religions have injunctions against idolatry. Sikhs and Muslims are also both strict monotheists, though it must be appreciated that the Sikh concept of God is far different from that which is typical of Islam, being more mystical and tending towards the impersonal.

Practically speaking, there are various external similarities between Sikhs and Muslims. For example, there is modesty in dress and an emphasis on a strong public display of morality. Too, the Gurdwara (Sikh temple) like a mosque is organized in such a way as to very strictly divide the place and role of men and women, though they are afforded the same spiritual value

a great man once said

religion is the opium of society
That's not exactly what he said: Religion ist das Opium des Volkes. Meaning that it's the people (proletarians in his way of thinking) themselves who invented religion, in order to calm themselves down.

But I guess the Communist EU will be more enlighted about the subject
