Lippi is using his tridente. It means Totti and Gila and Toni upfront. He has Vieri as a backup for Toni, and Cassano and Del Piero as alternatives. Hopefully Lippi will indeed have Del Piero in a good spot in the team. I pray for him to win the trophy, it will be the biggest football acheivement in history. Ale Per Sempre. And I cross my fingers that he will.

Agree, He shouldn't, but Lippi seems to stick with him for a while for some reason. He also ruins Ale's chances a little, because right now these are Lippi's picks :

Totti
Toni
Gilardino
Iaquinta
Vieri
Del Piero

That's already 6, and now there's Cassano. So he'll have to drop atleast 2 I think, maybe just 1. Hopefully it'll be Iaquinta and Vieri.

Totti is a midfielder.
Toni and Gila are the first 2 alternatives.
Del Piero will be picked as a sub for his experience and creativity.
Vieri will be picked for his record as a suberb striker in the NT.
Iaquinta..., no. Not this time.
