Let's say my prayers come true and Juve wins the CL and Italy wins (or reaches the finals) of the WC... now... let's say Del Piero stays in a more benchy role (though I have hopes he'll capture starting lineups) in both competitions, BUT as he's a suber sub, he actually scores a few memorable goals in the comp's quaters/semis/actual finals....
Do you think Del Piero will have a chance for the Golden Ball / FIFA Award (1st place) for 2006 ?
