No it isn't because Del Piero is our legend, 6 goals from the club top scoring record of 178,and you can't compare Del Piero with anyone especially not with ibrahim.
He's 5 goals short of the club record of 179 :)

It's funny how people making ultimate judgments on is one a good captain or not? You have lost your sense of reality here a little bit, how would we ultimately know who's a good captain or not? Do we play with the team on the pitch? Do we hang out with the boys in the dressing room? It's unbelievably "fan boy-like" to judge someones ability as a captain from a TV screen, although I have used to do that myself sometimes also...:D

I understand it's nice to speculate and all but we really shouldn't make too many judgments based on a TV screen. The fact is, that DP is not the kind of captain that for example Roy Keane is, and that is to many a negative thing, since people have traditionally thought the likes of Keane to be the right sort of captain.

We must also remember, that captain's job is often to settle the troops so to speak in intense situations and what I've seen (from TV, yes :D ) that DP is very good at communicating with refs and calming the controversial situations. We don't have the same kind of shows than Roma does, thank god for that.

In any case, I don't really know what to think of DP as a captain. I don't have anything against it as I don't think it hurts the team but I'm aware of the fact that his past as a club icon is the main reason for his captainship, not his leadership skills (although he must have those also). DP's inconsistency is his biggest fault as a player and that also reflects on the captain side of him. When he's not playing good, I'm not sure he's the best captain man could be.

The fact also to be remembered is that the captain is not the only one who rallies the troops, as I'm sure Cannavaro and Thuram are the leaders in the defense naturally since DP is in the other end of the field most of the time.

I didn't intend to write this long a post but what the hell.

But when ibrahim played bad he was nwver subbed, I.m telling you all the way that it's not the fair treatment.

Guys, you'll never be able to reason with giovanotti, because he obviously hates Zlatan for reasons other than football. First look at his location and then look at how he refers to Zlatan and everything is clear.

hmm.. is that the same reason why Mihajlovic and Zlatan showed us love scenes against the Inter match?

Yeah I noticed that too. I hope it's not the case, though. Ibrahimovich is a great player and of great origins.

Yeah, pretty much. Zlatan said afterwards that Mihajlović made some "remarks" to his nationality and origin which weren't exactly friendly.

Azzuri you are blind for real, I am sure you don't pray to God,you pray to del piero :D

I understand you love Del piero, you believe he should play no matter in what form he is,but you claim he is a great leader or a great captain??:undecide:

for Capello,he can't do that from the first season,or the coming seasons if alex stays, imagine he is coming from Roma to coach us,and take the captain band (whatever) from him,the fans would kill him for sure..

in general:
seriously this topic is becoming disgusting, what kind of juve fans are you (all), del piero is 30 and up,his not always in good form (sometimes he kills the game), and he is overpaid, what you think is the best for your club?
if you think we should keep him with these wages, and his last atitude (that he wants to be first team player) which will create problems for juve, then I'm sorry to say this ,but you are all gays
-Re-read my posts well, I never said Del Piero should play no matter what, but this should also be based on other players, So my Point was Subs Zlatan and the others when they are not doing well Just how Capello is doing with Dp.

-So He has the balls to Subs Alex when he's doing great, But he aint got balls to take the armband Captain from Alex?? Weird,

-About the wage thing, No offence man, but try not to sound Like Don, this is getting Silly, when you got nothing to point at Alex, Don't come with the wages, It's Lucciano's Prob, Not yours.

That's your attitude------ when you don't have any argument you allude to my location. That's funny, but why the hell would I hate someone who is Swedish,as a matter of fact my grandfather was Swedish too, from Nacka part of Stockholm. One thing is if I hate someone even if he is from serbia (check this post of mine and see the thirdone from the list http://www.juventuz.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=10700&postid=699275#post699275 )
and the other if I think that someone is still not good as Del Piero is

But why you defend ibrahim I really don't know and I'm not inerested in that, that's your opinion and i respect it as an opion of the Juventino who is competent to talk about Juve's team,no matter that we are on the different sides here (you are by ibrahim, and I'm and will be by Del Piero all the way)
