I don't know, it's too complicated and too hard to speculate like this. I don't think Del Piero would complain and tell them that, he has more class than that. Dunno, maybe Conte just ask for runners up front and don't think Alex can handle it. IMO it's surely because Del Piero wants to play. He said he doesn't want to quit football, which is other words means he wants to play, he wouldn't have said that if he wants to sit on the bench. I'd bet it's the only reason. It's not like I want to defend Agnelli but I don't think him or anyone else wants to harm him after everything he did at Juve. Even at 37 he's clearly our best forward. If the board wants to make replacements in our forward line they should replace the others instead of Alex. Forget the fact that he's one of the biggest club legends, one of the best forwards in his era, a player that has won almost every trophy possible, one who sticked with the club in it's worst time helping us to come back. Totally retarded and disgusting decision.
