Conte obviously thought it would work so he wanted to wait, like he did against Milan, but back then we managed to score in the last 10 minutes.

As for the formation, I find it laughable that we have to adept to other teams formation. That's what small clubs do, not the big ones. This 4-1-4-1 should be capable of beating any teams, let alone Chievo.
We played 4-2-4 when we thrashed Parma and defeated Siena. ;)

I never said 4-2-4 was bad, mate. I was only stating it's funny how we adept to other teams, like we're coming from Serie D. If you think I lie, here, it's what I said a couple of days ago

If our wingers are effective I think we're easily clinching 3 points on this match. Chievo is slow-ish so I'd burn them with both Krasic and Elia.

As for the formation I'd go with 4-4-2/4-2-4 with Quag - Vucinic most likely, but I wouldn't mind Vucinic/Quag - Matri. I'd play Alex in the second half.
So no, I never said that formation was bad.

I'm just stating that Conte started the season well with two wins when he played 4-2-4 and then changed it to 4-5-1 to pick up 3draws and a late win against Milan.

Stop bullshitting Dusan. Playing with a lone striker was wrong. Benching Ale could have been acceptable only if Matri/Quag/Toni had started alongside Vucinic. It's not about Del Piero, it's about the formation. We were incapable of creating chances and it changed when Ale stepped in. Vucinic is our best player upfront, but there is no "must" about his pair except that the better player among our other strikers "must" start. Since there is nothing else I could base my judgement on, I'd conclude according to what I see and I'd say it's likely that Ale is in better form than the other three. That's why Conte sent him in.

Playing lone striker was not wrong. Which one of Vidal, Pirlo or Marchisio should have been benched? Chievo would drive through our midfield with 4-4-2 from the start. Did you see how they countered us the last 15? Our players were exhausted.

that ain't a bad ideea..so against the top teams we can do the 4-5-1 and against the rest of the teams we can play with 2 up front
