you guys realize ADP very rarely hits a poor pass?
What do you mean by "very rarely"? 81% passing accuracy?
In that case I agree.

Just like I agree that Quag and Krasic also have 81% passing accuracy, Iaquinta has 82%, Pepe has 83%, Marchisio has 87% and Sissoko, yes Sissoko, has 86%.

In Serie A Del Piero tried 94 passes, 77 found a Juve player and 17 were intercepted. And these are all passes. Lost balls after trying to dribble aren't considered bad passes.

Actually, when compared to players playing in similar/same position, from the other teams, our guys and ranked pretty high.

Pandev 121/142 (85,21%)
Robinho 56/66 (84,84%)
Iaquinta 50/61 (81,96%)
Sneijder 195/238 (81,93%)
Del Piero 77/94 (81,91%)
Quagliarella 95/116 (81,89%)

Cossu 208/254 (81,88%)
Eto'o 132/162 (81,48%)
Zarate 57/70 (81,42%)
Ronaldinho 173/219 (78,99%)
Giovinco 81/103 (78,64%)
Pato 47/60 (78,33%)
Lavezzi 152/196 (77,55%)
Sanchez 90/117 (76,92%)
Vucinic 39/51 (76,47%)
Palacio 110/144 (76,38%)
Ibrahimovic 118/157 (75,15%)
Totti 118/160 (73,75%)
Di Natale 99/135 (73,33%)
Pastore 159/236 (67,37%)
Cassano 80/128 (62,5%)

Of course, this doesn't mean that Quag and Iaq are better passers than Dinho and Cassano, whose percentage is pretty low because they try very complicated passes all the time, but the percentage of accurate passes from our attackers (and all these are attacking passes) is pretty impressive.

Indeed.
Although in our case the attacking stats show an incredible improvement compared to last season.
You think that's just a coincidence (plus, it's too early in the season) or maybe it does have to do with our tactics and the attacking players having more passing options compared to last year?

So Quag scores 2 goals in 3 games, assists 1 and is close to scoring the 3rd but Pepe steals it. Then he has one quiet half and Del Neri decides he's not going to play anymore. Talk about fair treatment.

I'll take your word for it.

It's much easier for a forward to control a ball and play it wide to a winger, who will generally be in space, than it is to thread a pass to a midfielder in a congested area of the pitch.

You're rushing here.
Nothing tells us that DN decided how Quag won't get to play anymore. He didn't get to play on one match only and if he won't play vs Inter it won't mean that he's excluded from the starting XI or something. Inter are the strongest team in the league and we have 4 attackers. Only two get to play and DN will have to choose those who he thinks could hurt Inter more. If Quag doesn't have those characteristics, then he won't get to start, but he might easily get to start on the next match if a player with his characteristics is required against Lecce.

And even if I can't be "accused" of being a DP fanboy, I'd start him ahead of Quag against Inter 10 times out of 10. Needless to say that I wouldn't start two SS against Inter, so that excludes DP-Quag partnership.

Del Piero with 73,27% and Diego with 70,36% successful passes were our best passers in attack.
Almost 10% difference compared to the passing accuracy of our attackers so far this year. But, like I said, it's too early in the season and the numbers will probably go down.

I'm all for DP starting against Inter but wtf is with Amauri/Iaq starting last weekend and apparently starting this one too? If DP isn't fit Quag should start, just as he should have started last weekend

If they do, then it's gonna be because the coach (rightfully or not) thinks that they are the duo that can hurt Inter the most.

Quag played a bad half against Palermo and he was subbed at halftime. But the same happened with Pepe, who was subbed out at the same time when Quag was. Pepe got to start the next match against Cagliari.
That's why I think that Del Neri isn't punishing Quag for that bad half and that the bad display vs Palermo has nothing to do with him being excluded against Cagliari and being potentially excluded against Inter.

Also, I'm guessing that Del Neri too still has some doubts who will start against Inter, more than 30 hours before the match takes place. I doubt that Tuttosport have so much knowledge in order to know this early who will play and who won't.
Lets not forget too that Amauri was injured and that today tests will be conducted to see if he will be able at all to be on the bench tomorrow.
