the doubters will doubt (just look back thru the pages in this thread)....and what does Ale do? Delivers a big "fuck you" with his left foot.

It's funny and amazing that every season there are so many people (alot in this forum) who doubt Ale and say he is old and washed up blah blah blah. Granted he may not have the legs or pace he had 10 years ago but as he proved last night and he proves every season, and will continue to prove, he is capable of turning the game with a moment of magic. Where else will the magic come from?
No one is doubting him, but wham most are saing is that for the best of Juventus other should be given a chance. Because for smooth transition someone needs to be groomed for the leaders role, but with Del Piero there is no space for anyone else and like it or not Del Piero time is ending.

Too bad he can't be benched the whole game Just called up when it comes to FRee Kicks lol. I love you Del Piero you'll always remain a Legend. I'll always wear your jerseys with pride but Bruce Springsteen your too old and tired, if you love the Old Lady let her Have some new Blood New Talent. That's if Morotta can bring any.
He hasn't turned into the Beckham category special teams player yet.

Is it DP's fault that every coach we've had after calciopoli has started him every game possible? Obviously he will retire one day & but some folks go too far in saying that he's single handedly controlling transfer & team matters.

No if you are a player and a coach says play you play, you can't blame the player. What I blame is the management, which isn't decisive enough, which doesn't buy players to replace or at least buy a young sub(or even use our own Gio) and use it as Del Pieros sub, if they still think he is capable of leading the team whole season(which i think he is not anymore). And I blame the management for lack of vision because in my eyes they haven't thought through what to do without Del Piero, but that time is comming very fast when he will not be able to even play a good 45 mins.

And for the influence of firing coaches and players, I think he desn't have a word in this, but his presence and influence may have had some influence in their departure. And his status as a club icon, legend may have some influence to the board why they are keeping him and not looking to future. At least that is what I think.

There's a player from last night's match kept following Del Piero and asking him for his jersey, Del Piero was pointing his finger at someone else like he'll swap it with someone else, the guy kept begging and Del Piero couldn't do much but smile.
In the end he swapped it with Rudnevs, who scored 3 in Turin against Juventus. I don't know how many have done it in the past, but pretty much whole Latvia is going crazy about the fact that the reserve striker of our national team managed to score 3 against fucking Juventus and get greetings&shirt from fucking Del Piero. :)
