He should have, he should. Ok, how many more times are you going to say what he should have done or what he should do? We got your message and we know your stance on this. You are wasting your time here VicCB by repeating and repeating the same thing over and over. Alex didn't retire and he doesn't seem to retire in the near future. Live with it. You will probably have a few more years of this so try to get used to it. I know you don't like it but life is cruel. The sooner you accept it the easier it gets for you to get over it
Isn't this what the forums are about? To express your opinion?

Fucking morons, I totally agree with you, Hoori...forums are not to moan about the same thing day in day out.

Juventus will offer him new contracts until he decides to retire. As it was the case with Maldini and as it will be the case with Zanetti and Totti.

Accept that as a fact and don't blame the club for offering him a new contract. It's only up to Del Piero to decide if he wants to play or retire. I just hope Del Piero will do what Nedved did and realize that he doesn't have it anymore and that enough is enough, instead of doing what Maldini did when instead of retiring in 2007 when he won the CL, he made a joke of himself by playing 2 more years and being humiliated left, right and center by no named attackers.
Yeah, I know it's not really the club's fault, ADP has won that right but I really hope he is reasonable about it. Seeing Maldini play like that after his great history with Milan was painful.

Half of the posts in this thread is about pics and people saying he's so cute and ADP fans saying how he'll be great and how awesome he is and how it's a sin not to see him play. If we weren't a bit redundant there wouldn't be a forum. :p

Byrone, people remember Zidane for being fucking awesome, the head-butt was an unfortunate low point but you're crazy if you think that's what people remember him for.

Not everybody followed Zizou & not everybody was a Zizou/Juve or real fan, so no. Most people remember him for his awesome headbutt.

Google Zidane & what do you get? Zidane's infamous headbutt & red card during a WC final. Its the first thing that pops up.

That's your argument?? That google's first match is his head butt?? I don't even....

I'm not going to bother with this.

Why not? It's a clear indicator of what people search for when looking up on Zidane. Don't get me wrong, Zizou is one of my all time fav players & he did go out with a bang, but a fucked up one at that.

He's been expressing his opinion on this topic since he joined.

Being a fan of Ale and following him throughout these years, I believe he is wise enough not to ruin his legendary status at the end of his career so I think he will retire right at the best time when he knows he doesn't have anything more to offer to the team (even as a reserve) so I'm not really worried about the timing. My only concern is that whether or not our board will bring in a fine replacement as long as Del Piero is still not retired. In case we buy a proper player to replace Ale with I wouldn't mind him not retiring for a few more years because he's still got the ability to make difference with one moment of brilliance. Juve still can use him as a very excellent sub, someone to use against weaker teams or towards the last minutes of the games when the opponents' defenders are tired.

Thing is that he is still here and he is considered a starter within the coach's plans. I'm sick of people bringing up the same shit week in week out while in fact the team is so painfully limited with options in the attack.

No one says it's a sin not to play him but if you think we must play Legrottaglie instead then go ahead. You said Del Piero asked for Diego's sale so don't worry, nothing could ever surpass that.

Objectively speaking Juninho is the best free kick taker in recent history but there are still people who don't know how good he actually is because he never played for a big club. I'm not so familiar with all the old players and their free kick skills but Del Piero is definitely top3-top5 in recent history (10-15 years)
Juninho Pernambucano. ADP is not close.
Juninho was a beast & Rab will put your balls on a stick for this.
i see him after mihajlovic and juninho
Alex is definitely after Juninho and perhaps Milhajlovic, but apart from that, I'm not sure. I know Zico was great at dead balls but I never saw him play. Beckham, even though I dislike him, is also probably top five.

I'd probably say Del Piero is tied with Beckham for 3rd in recent history.

yep..i thought at becks too...and him being tied with becks seems reasonable. You can't put a perhaps next to mihajlovic, the dude is top scorer out of free kicks iirc.

sorry for the sound...but i am your father :D
