It can work if we give Diego his old Santos role, where he played a CM.

This is what I've been saying/suggesting. He can play as a CM since he enjoys picking up the ball and create the play. He's aggressive as-well which suites him perfectly. I don't know why they don't try it.

Yeah I did suggest the same even last season. He played very good at that position and I think he has everything it takes to be deep lying player who tends to make forward runs. He's got the vision, pass, good technique and plus he's pretty fast.
I don't see why not and IMO it's very stupid to limit his abilities and plan to sell him because he doesn't fit into Del Neri's so-called-system. That's just crap, he's a professional and he can cover other positions as well.

Diego - Marchisio ... I don't see why not. But I think chances to see that are 0.1%

I'm sure Del Neri can work out it. Even with Diego in his best form this season we still lack creativity and we look hopeless. I don't know why people are excited with Diego starting and leaving Del Piero out or vice versa. This team needs creativity more than defending. We lacked goals last season, a Del Piero - Diego together can sort things out if we find the balance.


I don't see it as something impossible to achieve, unless Del Neri wants to act like thick wall.

If one of Diego or Del Piero will sit on the bench this season and with the current squad and with no Giovinco then we are not improving and we don't look superior than any mid table team.

This team needs creativity. Very simple.

This FK is fucking insane...BTW, that was the second time he met an Austrian opponent. On the first time (96\7) he and Boksic scored a brace each (plus another goal by Montero) to give us 5-0 win vs. the same Rapid.

Could work if Diego learns to play the CM role in a 2 man midfield. I don't think it is too far fetched.
