That's ridiculous, last year his play was infuriating. Watching tons of plays die at his feet because he just can't run and his dribbles are shit now was torture.

Del Piero used to be a great player, I admit he has not been the type of player I would like to have at Juve for the past 2 years, fast players like Messi or C. Ronaldo are more suited to today's play, but even so, he always brought home the goods.

The problem is that last year age caught up with him and it marked a steep decline in his game and I don't believe he'll come back from that. Like I said, I'll be happy to be proven wrong.
Yes it is absolutely ridiculous when he is in many occasions single handedly winning the games to US. Our CL campaign 2 years ago comes to mind. And I am only mentioning it because you decided to say that he hasn't been the player you wanted at Juventus in the past 2 years. That CL campaign although ended in the round of 16 for us, but was him and him alone doing everything. Maybe you also think Maradona doesn't know jack shit about football because at that time he was one of many thousands that gave Del Piero a standing ovation in Madrid after taking down their team.

Del Piero in the last 3 years have scored close to 60 goals and assisted maybe a similar amount to his team mates. (mind you he was injured in a long period in them too)..

So until we have a player that is BETTER than Del Piero, he has to play. His POSITIVE influence to Juventus is something that is so obvious I am seriously amazed that you cannot see it.
He is the only player at Juventus at the moment who can assist and score consistently. He is the only player who can barry those free kicks and pk at ease. He is the player with the most vision and the most talent. He is whether you like it or not, at his current age, our most dangerous and most feared player.

I think you're full of ignorance.

Del Piero is finished when he decides and not when a prick like yourself comes in here and say how he's finished and that his dribbles are shit. Your posts are, not his dribbles. He's a diamond, he's the symbol of this team if you can't appreciate this then there's the Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi that you mentioned earlier you want. Real Madrid and Barcelona forums are easy to find.

Soap it.
I was wondering why it has taken you such a long time to say it. Infact, I was about to myself.. But thought the honor should be yours lol.

Great goal. Del Piero could be really, really good as a super sub when the opponents are getting tired, he will have a huge advantage at that point of the game. With him being fresh on his feet he could be a huge impact for the team on the later parts of the game. Del Neri should always give him 20-25 minutes a game.

In 18 years of Juve, Alessandro Del Piero lived through many similar moments. Many words being said about him swept away by a magical touch on the field. This was also the case at the Braglia stadium. The usual torment and a new made-up duel – this time with Diego in order to add spice to the match against Shamrock. Finally, on the front page, is the captain and his magic.

It is the case of a torment wept away on the field, a torment swept away in the dressing rooms at the end of the match during the interviews:

Ale:"The competition with Diego does not frighten me. It has only just begun… Nobody here at Juve is interested in this. We are only interested in improving. The choices must be made by the coach in order to field the best team possible. The celebration after the goal is not an answer to anyone but only the joy for having scored, won and made it through. I have nothing to say. I am happy to have played half the match and having improved my form. After the slight problem I had at the start of the training, I am well now and improving. This is the case of all the team. We are working well, are in building process and we need to play such matches against teams ahead in training. We are improving as individual players and as a team. We are still at the beginning. Our objective is to cancel last season and return to being our true selves. We must reach the end feeling proud of ourselves and making the club and our supporters proud. If we do this we will go far".
