He is being objective and realistic; we can't keep relying on what once was, as someone stated in the Zebina thread. We continue living in the past, and Del Piero is part of the glorious past. He is definitely not the way forward, or the future for this Juve team. The sooner the board and the fans realize that, the better it is for us.

Btw, the red and white ball looks nice :p

How is he our past while him along with Trezi (who by the way are supposed to be our "old" guard with stressing on the "old" part) are our top scorers this season.

Just tell me, Is there any player this season who suffered more injuries than this duo and yet managed to be this vital/great for us this season?

You're are right about one thing thought, we need to get past relying on the old guards in general as this has been our habit since the calciopoli. But other than that, I can't get why you wouldn't play someone who performs every single time he's on the pitch and another who keeps on scoring despite the poor poor support/assists he gets. Its just beyond me.

Not once did I mention not playing him; however, the way I see it, we need to prepare ourselves for some eventualities and inevitable scenarios that don't require reliance and dependency on the old guard, and seeing as how this season is already as good as done, we might as well start this gradual transition and alteration process now.

Next season Del Piero (impact sub) and Trezeguet shouldn't be starters, and relying on Camo shouldn't even be an option. This is the harsh reality, that we all have to accept at some point. We need to, and must move on.

Nice Avatar Ahmed; too bad this great day was some 14 years ago. I hope we don't have to wait another 14 years for another meaningful trophy, be it Serie A or that elusive 3'rd CL title.
hell yea, I can't wait that long! I'm heading over to Inter-Fetish.com if we don't get some trophies by next year!

I thought you meant just that when you said:

We've to move on , I agree on that. But letting go of one of our best players this season to make way for yet another flops aint exactly my idea of moving on. Just look at Nedved's case, many were saying he should retire, he is old...bla bla bal... Yet now we'll do miss his presence and certainly his fighting spirit that none of the supposedly "upgrades" has.
