Del Piero: 'It's a disaster'

Alessandro Del Piero admits “it’s a disaster, one of the worst moments of my Juventus career.”

Yeah, but i can't even think about sunday right now. Why, why we didn't try to score a second goal? i can't believe this...this is above humiliation. stupid Zac. in a 2-1 situation all you need is one more goal and then you can lose even 4-2 and still qualify.

An extract from the press conference on the eve of the Fulham-Juventus match, Europa League last 16 fnal second round.

As for the match

“Inspite of what happened in the first round, we know that this won't be an easy game, Fulham has a lot of qualties that can complicate our game. The will to win and to go to the next round is extremely important for us. Let's not make a lot of plans for the future. We'd better concentrate on our new targets, but also on the present situations. Let's face one match at a time as it is the right way to be totally involved, especially in a season like this one. It is just absolutely necessary to have a careful approach with each single match. Going to the next round surely would be a nice step forward.

As for the previous matches in England

“My best memory here? Easy to choose. Against Arsenal I always lost. Against Fulham I've never played before, against Chelsea I lost last year. The only match that I do remember very well is the one we won against United, all the matches played against them have always been overwhelming on the emotional level. Juventus and Manchester United are two teams that have always been among the leaders of European football and also for this reason that match is quite dear to me."

As for the goal keeper

Chimenti or Pinsoglio? The coach haven't said even to me who'd be chosen, so I don't know what to say... If Antonio plays as he played on Sunday, he won't need any suggestions or hints. he is an experienced player and has always trained with us really well, being a part of the "regular players" group. We appreciate it and the only thing I can wish him is "Good luck" especially if he plays this match.

As for the World Cup

Ok, lets see. Lets give him the benefit of doubt (you know guys he's a bit rusty, 3 years away from coaching). He thought 3-1 was good enough. Fine, but when the game started to go downhill, why did he wait till the last 4 min to bring him in?
We were conceding so much we needed his touch and experience to keep Fulham at their half as much as possible.

What did he think, that we will travel to england to walk in their parks? They were ready to give us the toughest they can give. They have nothing to loose as they have already given their best european season ever. A team thats playing under zero pressure is one of the worst sides you can face, especially when they are motivated and playing at home.
