I love Alex and everything, and I applaud his determination, but after missing that third free kick, he really should have let someone else take the fourth one. Wasn't his day, unfortunately, although he did have the "normal" magic moments we have come to expect of him.

I don't think it makes any sense letting anyone else taking a freekick. Even If he takes a billion. He's our best freekick taker and one of the best in the world. It was just not his day.

Giovinco and Nedved are both good free kick takers .. but DP is alot better.

Alex will let others take it when he feels like it. He is Captain. And it was Giovinco's first start today .. I don't think Ale is ready to hand him the responsibility.

that would mean a billion fouls, i don't think anyone in our team would be up for taking a freekick after that :D

September 24th 2008, Olympic Stadium, Turin

Juventus v Catania 1-1

Unfortunately we managed only to draw, but I believe that the will and determination we showed on the pitch is something really important to proceed with in the Championship.

Now we have to get back to work in order to improve and to get ready to the match against Sampdoria, which will take place on Saturday.

See you soon,

Alessandro

It pisses me off that noone comments the poor referee in the Juve-Catania match! He was crap!
And when it comes to those freekicks Alex missed, the Catania-wall was way to close the freekick-spot. Its impossibleto, even for Delpi to spin the ball over and down again when those fackers is that close! And i dont know why he or his mates dont complain more to the ref!?
Anyhow, It was fun watchin Il Capitanon play a very good match again. Hes seemed a bit heavy and out of shape lately. Against Catania he was back.
Cheers

I'm sure he complained enough, if he kept going he probably would've gotten a card. But hey, if the ref sucks what more can you do?

You could kick him in the nuts with the ball, and make it look like it was unintentionaly!! And if Del Piero did that the ref would have been in hospital, no card for Del Piero and a new referee on the pitch!! If that referee also sucks than fuck it, let Nedved kick his nuts with the ball no matter that the ref will die after that blow!!!
