How many from freekicks.

Damn he is good and we are lucky to have him: long may he go on.

In both seasons he has scored 21 goals in the league and 3 in Coppa totaling 48 goals.

Serie B: 5 goals from free kicks and 2 from PKs
Serie A: 2 Goals from free kicks 4 from PKs

I don't have the statistics of the coppa though I think he scored a goal in each season in Coppa so he's around 8 or 9 goals from free kicks in the past 2 seasons.

I disagree. Del piero was having a very hard time at the beggining of last season and he had to be subbed while IQ was banging them in every single game. H was on red hot form.

He wasn't physically fit in the first part of the season but then he was sublimein the second part of the season, that's why Ranieri played him.

Ranieri went wrong on a lot of decisions last season, however, ALe was just not one of them.
At the beginning Del Piero was not that bad, against Udinese (3rd match) he was our best player, however I agree when you say he's having a hard time.
But I speak especially about the énd half of this period, when we faced Milan Del Piero had already returned to a great form. He'd been brought in against Palermo and scoreded 2 goles and made a great assist for Marchionni and next week Ranieri left him on the bench against Milan. It was inequitable!!

He started against Lazio only because of IQ's injury! After this game it was just impossible to play without him, he started doing again what he'd been doing for years with la Juve : Making the team win matches.

Ranieri just dont like Del Piero, there is no doubt about the choice he made on the last match of the season against Sampdoria, Why did he sub him ? That had no explanation, their was no stake at all for the team. There was only wone for Alex, scoring his personal record and Ranieri prevent him from doing it; for me that say something about the issue. Recently Ranieri had compared Alé to Boniperti (to attak him about his being old), but what a great answer with the brilliant game he made against Zenith !!

When I saw Alex play and run against Zenit, he reminded me of him 10 years ago. Not that I think he was better or something, not at all. its just the way he ran.

Did anyone feel the same way?

Whenever he touched the ball, you could tell what a touch he has from the fans.... They go nuts each time he makes ball control or sprint with it or anything.....
