Tests are back. He's out for 4 months.
He's training today :D. Not funny, Stu, some guys actually believe you can be out for four months with an adductor injury even if the exams show nothing. He's probably a bit tired though. A lot of football players, including me, get similar injuries if they have been playing too much. But it's nothing serious, thank god.

Oh right, my bad sorry guys.

I really hope its not serious we need him fit this season. I might get flamed for this, but I think DP should retire from international football, and channel all his energy towards our juventus.
Whether or not you like it, Del Piero has always said he would not retire from international football. I don't know if it's good for him physically, but I think it's admirable.

It is admirable, I never questioned his mental strength. But the way I see it, we need him more right now, add to that the ever increasing risk factors (injuries).

It might just be me.

I don't question Del Piero when it comes to decisions like these. In my humble opinion he has always chosen wisely and in almost every situation made the classiest call possible. So I'll just leave it up to him and refrain from making a personal judgement.

he takes pride in representing the Azzurri and i think we should be proud of that... some players lose interest in playing internationals and retire at the first possible oppurtunity... glad Alex doesn't belong to that category...

Ale must have his moment of glory with the Azzurri...the one defining moment when the whole world says that "Yea, Del Piero was the man for Italy that day"...if he can have that one moment again...then its all good but until then, I want him to keep playing for Italy

Seeing that Italy plays Cyprus and Georgia, I just hope Lippi won't take a chance with DP, he should only play when he is 100% fit, surely Lippi has enough quality players available to replace DP if he isn't 100% fit.

With regard to DP playing for Italy, if he feels he is still fit enough to play for Juventus AND Italy, I think he should keep playing for both, only when he feels he isn't capable anymore of performing good for us, he should retire with the NT.
