well. thats just plain stupid. not your comment i mean if that were to happen because why does age matter? so he would rather take a 22 year old who scored half the goals and is in half the form that DP is in? thats ridiculous.a team in that type of comp needs experience as well as youth. read this its hilarious!http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5j4b1k-NJTcelM1f2tu4j0agxUVnw
vieri are you serious why would you deserve a call up.?

Just cannot find words to decribe what I felt during game with Lazio!
ASTOUNDING! AMAZING!

This is true Ale! and he can be consistent!
Hope that faggot Donadoni will see him :)
That a way! Forza Juve! Forza Ale!

Its a pitty really that Alex hasnt been given FiFa world player or golden ball award! Kaka gets it or some other players. Alex has done the same in his career. Winning all titles at the same time etc.

Kaka has won the world best player award..
I wonder why during Del Piero's peak time in 96-98 why he can;t win the euro player and world player of the year? he came closest 4th only in European player of the year, the top 3 were that damn good??
I wonder.
unfortunately he was up against ronaldo and zinedine zidane in those years, had that not been the case, he may have won it, as for coming 4th thats jsut stupid

Working on it right now.
Yeah would be great!!!

And I think we should make one sticky Thread with all statistics and update them regularly!

Its really interesting to count his assits because Goal+Assits= Real Benefit of the Player; in many countries the topscorers are ranked according to this basis;

i think that he will get called up for Euros. despite how incompetent most of us believe donadoni to be, i think he will realise the importance of ale's experience and class, and will choose him ahead of the likes of either di natale or quag. dp will be useful as a wild card in those tight games where only players like he can make the difference.

Azzurri coaches since C Maldini have all refused to let Alex be the main, go-to guy for the NT...Totti failed to really shine after Euro 2000...it's a pity really coz Ale could have done so much more

Sorry to Del Piero fans but unless he scores 15 this season, I can't see Donadoni calling him. Guaranteed forwards in the national team are Di Natale, Toni and Iaquinta in my opinion. Quagliarella, Del Piero, Pippo, Gilardino and Bellucci (if he keeps scoring like he does) all have a chance for that second spot. Cassano might even have a slight chance. I agree that he is a good wild card though.

i don't think he should be the main go-to guy, just a influential figure that can be called on when needed(don't want to say super-sub).
that is just calling him a super-sub with another name

Cassano? u cannot be serious...based on what? i agree it is probably too late for Ale to be a starter, but i am still optimistic
