On the day that Roberto Baggio celebrates his 40th birthday, Ronaldo turns his thoughts to the star from Caldogno

Ronaldo and Roberto Baggio are two of stars of world football who have left their indelible mark on the game and today Baggio celebrates his 40th birthday while Ronaldo is enjoying a celebration of his own after scoring twice for Milan at Siena in what was his starting debut for Milan.

'The Phenomenon' has certainly not forgotten Roby on his special day and said of his former team-mate: 'I would like to send happy birthday greetings to Roberto Baggio who is a great number ten who I was fortunate enough to play alongside.' Ronaldo also talked about another great playmaker in Italian football, Alessandro Del Piero and said: 'Alex is another great number ten in world football, he recently said he would have liked to have played alongside me so I thank him a lot.'

While Baggio is spending his day with his family, Ronie is with his young son, Ronald and he explained: 'It is a special day for me dedicated to my son, after training this morning I will spend the whole afternoon with him at the hotel.'

This is an Interview with the Captain on 13th February. Friend of mine send it to me, It was taking from Arabic Juventus Forum.

Paolo Perazzolo was the person who interviewed Alex.

(I'll translate It)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Alex, in your book you wrote about good and bad times, and you also stated that behind your success was six important things to remain/keep you balanced and not to loose any of them.

A: Yes, absolutely, first, the person should know how to depend on himself, 2nd to take care of his family, 3rd education, 4th Sonia and so on...and by the way Paolo man's behaviour in football isn't everything, It's pretty hard to find somebody calm and then turns to be aggressive and tough on the pitch.

Q: You mentioned your family alot in your book.

A: Family is something I spend my time with, I always contact my brother and my mother whom live somewhere far from me, they're still responsible of me and so am I, and I care for their opinion about things I'll do in the future.

Q: You're a man who has always been criticized in his life, yet you insist and fight for your beloved Juventus club.

A: In Juventus everything is different. I don't really care when I'm criticized, It's not a new thing. The most important things here is my relationship with the team, and I can never forget the connection between me and my mates and fans. Not to also mention that in Turin I've met a woman whom I'm married to. Anyway, in a shortcut Juventus is a dream.

Q: How do you feel towards your club at this moment, knowing that you're in "B"?

A: Of course It's not an easy thing, playing 14years with Juventus on a top level and then to be demoted all of us isn't easy. Alot of friends left, but I'm very happy with my decision.

Q: Did you really make friends out of Football?

A: Yes of course, I still have friends from "Padova" days like Di Livio, It's not easy to see them like before, because each one is in different city and has different job. In my world of friendship, I care about quality and not how many. When you pass through dificult moments/periods in your life, quality is what matters.

Q: You and Zambrotta, Cannavaro and Ferrara left Germany during the World Cup to visit pessotto.

A: We did our best to make Gianluca feel that he's not alone, thats what a friend can do in these difficult moments.

Q: In your book, you wrote that there are some bad events you can never forget them.

A: Yes, lot of bad things I can never forget, and on top of them is Capello.

Q: Since 6years and you're trying to help "Community against cancer".

A: Each person should help as much as he can. Taking care of people who need that is a must.

Q: Del Piero in his 20's....and Del Piero now, can you describe it?

A: There's not alot to describe, I still feel young, the only difference is that I'm married, and that I'll have children. I'm dreaming of Los Angeles, the most wondeful city in my life.
