i thought del piero was slow during this game......he didn't play that well, but then again the whole team was poor. if we didn't get the penalty i think it would have been 0-0.

i watched the game as an italy fan, im not one of those who unobjectively worship del piero thank you very much, if he does well he gets praise he doesn't do well then he doesn't, i thought he wasn't great, average at best but in his defence the whole team was poor, hopefully he'll play better if given the chance on wednesday

i agree he shouldnt have been subbed so early:tdown: he gave toni a great chance and he missed the ball lol. Did anyone see del piero's run from half when he beat 2 defenders:cool:, and was fouled but no call?

by the way i dont think if Alex was on the field he would've taken the penalty...It was in the Olimpico and Oddo is Lazio's captain thats why he beat the likes of Pirlo out there.

I don't get your point. One moment you seem to be defending him, then the next not. I obviously missed the train of thought.
I am sure you are not one of those DP blind fans though.

no matter I hope Donadoni gives Ale another chance against Georgia...has a good record against them and Ale will be hungry to prove himself worthy if a starting place

What another chance? Del Piero was in good shape tonight FFS, and enough said. He was one of the best in the first half. And If he had stayed 10min to take the PK, he would've been probably man of the match.

So back-off FFS,

Just saw the highlights...toni looked impressive...Ale made some good moves but hmm not quite...the 1-2 with pirlo was really fantastic...pity he could not finish
