Why not?
He did for the club much more than any other player wearing number 10,and he is our all time top scorer.
Yes, all true but don't you want another player like him in the future playing for Juve? Even when the football business gets more corrupted and such, wouldn't you want to see a player like Del Piero in the future who is loyal and reaches his height of fame and trophies :)

Il Re,I've never insulted anyone here,so I didn't say anything bad to Tom.Read my post above.
He insulted me a few times, but that's his problem...so much about his opinion and his discussions.
I know you didn't, but to be honest, its his opinion, if u really dont like it, just add him to your ignore list, its really as easy as that :smoke:

guys you all need to chill, if tom thinks del piero is no longer a top player thats his opinion, he has a right to say his opinion, i dont see any posts of his that insult ale like "del piero is a dick", this is a forum, a place where u can discuss football or players, so he has every right to say what he think within reason, i however, have my own opion, but just because you dont agree with him there is no need to attack him regarding english referee's which has nothing to do with del piero in "the official del piero thread", anyway at the end of the day, alessandro del piero was and still is a great player, and he will be remembered for that, now i just hope this world cup ale can make tom eat his words! :D
bring it on beotch!! :pint: :D

Yes but you said that I was crying that Del Piero is sitting on the bench, and I stated more than you exposed.

No, I don't agree at all. If you're saying long range stunners are a fluke then the same could be applied to any goal couldn't it. Ooh, he just stuck his leg out, caught it right and it went in, you could say. And he isn't the only player to have done it either, so it really isn't that special. A good goal yes, very good in fact but it hardly set the world alight in the way the two I mentioned and countless others have.
That goes for your long range efforts as well. A goal can only be called legendary because of the moment when he was scored. After the Anglo-Argentina war it was obvious that Maradona's goal had an enormous impact. Del Piero scored a stunner but after all did so in a competition game against Torino. That's the only thing that truly seperates goals IMO.

FFS TOM, this is a Del Piero thread for Juve fans who like Del Piero, the great captain and symbol of Juventus, who support Del Piero, and it's a thread we enjoy to read. If you want to talk nonsense or talk about Crouch, DO IT SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Why, oh why do most of you fall for the juvenile prank of this so called Tom: can't you see he has a single policy (Old Lovely Eyes fans are easy to get riled) of amusing himself at your expence.

If his idea of the beautiful game is to watch Crouch and England play, then we should pity him, but nevertheless allow him that right.

Let him have his say, we must allow diversity and oddity: come on you are all big enough.

Not been in any of those threads to be honest. I don't know who you are or what your problem is but I'll answer you anyway. I'm on a Juve forum because I'm a fan of the team, and have been for well over 10 years now. Which ain't bad for a 21 year old. I've been an active member on here for a fair few years now during which time I've posted on football matters and off topic. I even helped moderate it for a while.

Now what my problem is are people like Giovanotti and Azzurri7 who, for want of a better phrase, are just absolute cunts. They have no support for the team, spend the entire season bitching and whining about why delpiero isn't playing. Then finally we get a break with the world cup, only for them to be moaning again because he ain't playing for Italy. Newsflash people, he's past it. Great player that he once was, get over it and get a fucking life! I mean jesus how old are you people to be worshipping a player to such extent, its frankly disturbing.

I have no quarrel with you good sir unless you fall into that category.
Fair enough. I have been more or less a casual reader of these forums for some time and not an active poster until recently so I don't really remember you writing something in-depth about Juventus. I thought you could be one of these people who don't support Juve but who still hang out here god knows doing what and getting all the privileges possible. The inner social democrat in me doesn't like that. :D

Therefore I was put off with you cursing to everyone. Anyway, I understand your point of view about DP fans even though I think you're overreacting, most of the writers in this topic actually understand Lippi's decisions. I have no quarrel with you either since you showed intellect in your answer but hopefully you could do without unnecessary provocations.

@ Tom...funny discussion IMO.that goal against Torino was one of the best EVER and it's not because he's my favorite player.this is Del Piero's thread so you for sure will find many biased comments, but in this case,I think your comments are even more biased.that goal was one of the best with no doubt.

anyway,I like his goal against Piacenza more than every goal he's scored.(the goal he scored after the death of avvocato)

I think you'll find actually that it is you lot who have been talking about Crouch at every available opportunity, not me. I come here merely to educate, in the hope that I can convert some of you to rational human beings.
