They say it's official that Totti behind Toni&Gila... what was the original plan anyway. I fear this is another tournament when the manager won't use Del Piero right... he'll just get phucked again, and then all these goddamn haters who I despise will use that against him. Never gets his chances, despite what the haters say.

He got chances in 1998 and 2000. He did very well in 2002, but Trapattoni fucked him. And how on earth did he not get enough chances in 2004? He played all three games (and was outstanding in one of them).

He never started all matches in any competition (he wasn't a natural starter in any)... except in 2004 where he was subbed vs Sweden which fucked him ! But if you agree about 2002, then fine... the haters don't even agree about that. And will say that he sucked in all comp's btw which is not true...

well,Seven isn't a hater actually.
anyway,if Totti wasn't banned because of his childish behaviuor,Alex wouldn't get any chance even in 2004.(he didn't play for a single minute against Denmark I think).this world cup could be his last important tournament with Azzurri and I hope he plays.I'm an Azzurri fan just if he play.

he started against denmark and was not great, ale was unlcuky in 98, had he not gotten injured, he would have shone there, we can only now imagine what would have happned, lets just hope ale has a good world cup this time around

Here's why I think Alex might succeed in this World Cup.

There's no pressure on him. Not as much as 8 or 4 years ago when he was one of the key man. This time around, Alex is a substitute. Honestly, besides us die hard fans, does any fan around the world even remeber the name Del Piero among all the other new exciting up-and-coming stars? No pressure. Alex is gonna come out and do what he does best when noone sees him coming.

when ale comes off the bench he has a burning hunger in him, he will come off the bench and score tonight, pressure is one of the reasons ale hasnt done so well with italy, but now its not on him as much, ale will do well!

Del Piero was slow... he'll need to improve a lot I'm afraid.
Its because of the moment when he entered the field! He entered like 10 minutes to the end, when Italy wasn't playing the kind of game that he really wants to play (the one showed in the first half). I think he was like that because of the lack of motivation in him, or the lack of motivation that Lippi is giving to him. He needs more thatn 10 minutes to get used to the field, to warm his legs, etc...Anyway he didn't play well, but not because he can't
