in the end It doesn't matter if he starts or not... I just want him to play well. If Italy wins and he came in as a sub so be it. If italy plays well it's a long WC , he will start some of the matches . Italy just have to keep on winning and everything will be fine .

Poor young Zlaza, his only sin not being Lovely Eyes Alex, and being in a team without creativity and guile.
Yep, and his attitude has also a lot to do with it. Arrogance rarely helps, especially if compared to a man like Alex.

If you ask me- and I just have- Old Lovely eyes could have done with arrogance in his play, that's something all the truely great have.
I'm not sure about arrogance but self-confidence, that's what all the great have and you're right, Old Lovely Eyes has had some problems with that.

Totti in, Del Piero out

Marcello Lippi is believed to have decided on who will start for Italy against Ghana and it’s not good news for Alessandro Del Piero.

Despite proclaiming himself as being 100 per cent fit, the Juventus captain is set to lose out to Francesco Totti – a man who has openly admitted that he is perhaps only playing at 70 per cent to his full potential.

Lippi, as Football Italia understands, will risk playing with Totti behind an attacking duo of Alberto Gilardino and Luca Toni.

The tactician is set to keep faith with his 4-3-1-2 system, built around Totti, in an effort to get the Azzurri’s campaign off with a victory on Monday night.

Juventus ‘keeper Gigi Buffon will start in goal in front of a back four consisting of Cristian Zaccardo, Fabio Cannavaro, Alessandro Nesta and Fabio Grosso.

Zaccardo has seemingly got the nod ahead of the more attacking Massimo Oddo, while Nesta has been declared fit even if Gianluca Zambrotta misses out.

Andrea Pirlo will be asked to conduct things in the middle, while being flanked by Mauro Camoranesi and Daniele De Rossi. The latter steps in for the injured Gennaro Gattuso.

Italy (probable): Buffon; Zaccardo, Nesta, Cannavaro, Grosso; Camoranesi, Pirlo, De Rossi; Totti; Gilardino, Toni

I still hope Lippi thinks twice before he decides and play unfit player while Leaving Dp out.

I'm yet waiting for the official line-up.
You'll have to wait for tomorrow Rab. He said today in a press-conference that he haven't told even to the players the strating eleven. But that he has decided it already. I'm sacared, everyone thinks that the starting will be totti-toni-gila (or even Iaquinta) :(

They said Iaquinta because Lippi told the press that he has been doing a great training!

I'm really scared!
