DP is just afraid of injury, that's understandable. He's gonna rule in WC, me thinks ;)
yeah, as long as he doesn't lose his spot in the lineups, then it's ok. It's good that he'll be worse now and kick ass in the actual event.

how did ale play anyone? i read he was involved in most of the plays
Ale played somehow good, was involved in several play, Ukrain's keeper out-smared alex when he took that freekick. The second half as soon as he got subb, the left side was dead and I mean real dead. No one to run or to create anything.

Actually Del Piero was anything but afraid of injuries.. He was running after the ball everywhere. He got tackled few times. Nothing serious but he was pushing forward quite well. He was very determined.
He showed that he is a must for the first 11.. Lippi knows it. Whether Totti will participate as a starter or not is something beyound everyone, but after tonights game I feel confident that Del Piero is going to start.. Infact, looking at the past two friendly games it seems that Lippis formation and tactics involves DP as a key player.. The formation is circled around him..
Looking at Germany, NL, Swiss and Ukraine matches that is.

good to hear that alex played well, i feel he will have a good WC. Since i heard that Totti was back to his shady ways and was booked for pushing a ukranian player.... so am guessing alex will have a good part for the azzuri

He was extremely active and ambitious and he was involved a lot in the play, he had some good moves. Overall though, I think he lost the ball somewhat too easily too often.

That's the new trophy ? :agree:

Look, I thought Del Piero was good, but rival fans are saying he's shit, can't run, can't dribble, nothing. If you look at international forum like xtratime, then it's just sad. they say he sucked. It pisses me off so much. If I could, I would go on a killing rampage with roma fans.

La Gazzetta are saying he sucked as well. I didn't see the game, but I'm starting to get worried about his condition.

He was as tired as everyone but he played better then against suisse!
And Totti played better as well so my hope grows! But he didn´t play the whole 90
Minutes! He played 45 Minutes!

Screw rival fans, Alex was the most active player in the first half he never stopped running. He was active in lot of plays, hell, even Dominic saw that.

Seven, no need to worry, I think It was pretty much clear after Ale got subbed that the left side was poor, not only poor, but really poor, Gila tried to take his place but nothing, totti, also nothing. I think he's a must in the team, he just need a game more and I'm confident he'll put players behind him.

Forza Alex Del10Piero:cool:
