DP did look in shape though. He was quite fast.
Indeed.

Some of you probably didn't realize Del Piero's exact job and that is to open the space for Zambrotta on his side, but It was Grosso. So, Gila's goal last night came from a cross to grosso after Dp took two players with him leaving his side free run for Grosso to cross.

I think he did pretty good in his prev games with that position and however we should trust Lippi wherever he puts him on the field as he knows the player pretty more than any other person.

I agree Rab. I think his job last night was more tacticaly than any other thing, if you know what I mean...Maybe this is what Lippi is going to do during the World Cup.

BTW, I think I prefer more Toni playing with Totti and Dp than Gilardino.

Toni deserves to be in the starting line-up.. Although the truth has to be said, Gilardino got only one chance and scrored it..
Gilardino is a good striker but that goal was Grosso's all the way.
Who wouldn't have scored there?
In my opinion he didn't even put it away well..

Good point but anyway I prefer Toni playing with dp and totti. He can adapt more to dp's and totti's passes that gilardino. (based on what I saw last season of toni and gila)

TBH, I'd either like Inzaghi or Toni to start ahead of Gila.
 Actually is not a bad Idea to place Pipo. He is playing really great and he proved during the season that he hasn't lost his form yet. I don't think Lippi will place him before Gila, but I would do it for surely. I like Inzaghi.

inzaghi isnt the best choice playing from the beginning, he needs like 25 mins of play to pose an impact but he isnt worth much playing from the start.

I see the best between the three is Toni, but i think that alex or totti will be dropped in favour of the two big men upfront

Obviously Toni would start. A fit Totti will start too, and it's between Del Piero and Gilardino. If all are fit, I think some matches we'll see Del Piero - Toni - Gilardino (because of the injury Totti went through), sometimes we'll see Totti-Toni-Gilardino, and maybe just maybe we'll see Del Piero - Totti - Toni . There are no other options, Inzaghi is not an option (maybe for the swimming pool).

Grosso's pass was the best play of the match. Never the less, the way Gilardino reacted from behind the deffender is good. Thats said he did not net it so well if it was a tag weaker the keeper would've cleared it. In the end it was a goal.
