One of the reasons I think Italy can win the World Cup is because of Lippi. The man is a brain. Knows how to handle tough games always doing perfect subs and etc. Though I'm not Italian I'm happy they have him as their manager.

I think we can do well. But, you know, a bit of Lippi/finals unluck, a lot of Totti/trouble-seeking-journalists, don't convince me that much.

Other than players' fitness, it depends a lot on how Lippi will be able to manage the press (and it's very sad). But the guy is strong, let's hope the players will all blindly follow him and won't have hears for the press.

Tbh Elisa, I doubt Totti repeating what he did in Euro2002. Infact I don't think he'll every do something like this, specially not under Azzurri NT.

I'm pretty sure Lippi can handle the press, after-all remmber being Juve's manager for several years was already too much pressure on him to handle these press...

Yeah, Lippi can and Totti wouldn't do the same things (I hope). Anyway, everytime I think about it, Euro2004 comes to my mind and I remember the whole mess players+journalists were able to create. You know, that kind of nightmare that, even if you know it is unlikely to come true, makes you turn on the light and check that everything is as fine as the way you left it before going to sleep. :rolleyes2
I have faith in Lippi and many players to do a good WC, but I won't go as far as thinking we can win it. (Of course, if it happens, I'll be the happiest supporter in the world  )

Uhm, I think we've gone a little OT..

So, before closing it (the OT), let me add: Pretty please, Lippi, come back to us!
