At the beginning of the season, I thought that it would be better if it was his last season but after what has happened recently, I really thought seriously about it.

I firmly believe now that we should extend his contract for a final year if he's ready to be satisfied with a limited role like he has had this season. He more than deserves to play in the Champions League for a final year.

Yes Rab, I admit that I was wrong.
Respect.

Gazzetta wrote that he will probably join the MLS, and return to Juve in their break, ala Henry.
I don't think he'll pull such a move.

You know what's the tricky thing here IMO? Is that Agnelli will play the blank-sheet paper contract and not giving him the contract he deserves. Then if Ale decides to leave it will look like it was his decision.

Agnelli gives him less than some average players in our squad. If that will be his offer again [in which some way it will be like politely asking him out] then I don't see Ale staying. It's not about figures IMO but also putting Ale to play almost for free is unacceptable for Del Piero and for fans.

Prandelli to the Gazzetta, after the visit in Vinovo:"I always consider Del Piero as THE professional and an example for every player. I use his story to explain the youngsters how to handle their careers. I'm not surprised by his season, and the goals that he scores are not more valuable than the work he does in the dressing room for the entire season".

Call him Cesare!!! Italy's forwards suck, plus you gonna call 6-8 Juve players. So you need the captain, the leader of the dressing room, the super-sub with you too. Just like he saves Juve, Ale will save Ital-juve.

I'm happy everyone's talking about calling Ale now, I hope that if he gets a chance vs. Cesena he'll shine again and increase the pressure on Prandelli.

True, but I'm not sure how the Juventus perspective is relevant.

try telling balotelli about Del Piero's professionalism and think twice about calling balotelli up and not Del Piero
