If Del Piero is a player who just joined Juve this season with no history with the club whatsoever, he would've been used by Conte the same way he's used now. Conte wants to win, and lets face it, a scudetto named 'Scudetto Del Piero' in his last season with the club would be the best ending to this legendary career.

I'm afraid Del Piero cannot start games and I don't think he's being mistreated at all.

I actually thought Conte putting Ale in after Quags showed how he was going for the win, 90+ minutes or no. And in the end if Ale wasn't offside it probably would've happened. To be fair all of his subs were very late.

Anyway, happy 700th appearance Capitano.

the sub was all about time wasting and holding onto the ball,

The team is winning and playing well and both Matri and Mirko deserve to start ahead of him,
There was one minute of injury time left when he came on. It might as well have been Storari who came on, it didn't matter. We weren't going for the win, Napoli weren't going for the win. We should have left it as it was.

And he would probably say you're crazy.

Just let it go, the wheels have turned already, DP era is over.

Forza him, but if he was creating at least a bit of tension in the club like he does here he certainly should be sent away, doesn't matter how long you have played or what you have did, you should know when to step down.

Like they say in climbing, climbing up the mountain is only half the challenge.

The issue isn't him starting, it is giving him 2 minutes at the end of every game. I would prefer him not coming on unless it is for a decent amount of time.

You can't possibly miss the whole point like that :D

The starting team players deserve to start more than the rest because they have performed very well so far. I don't think anyone wants Ale to start over Mirko/Matri. The last seconds of the game can always be killed by a Giac or a Krasic. You don't use Ale for that.

Is he better than Quag? If he is he should have been subbed in earlier. But I have more faith in Qugliarela than Del Piero. Let's face it he is 37 years old, that is ancient for professional football.

And Conte would be the first person that would give Del Piero a chance, if he deserved it. They are good friends, I mean the overreaction by some is ridiculous.

Will you stop being stupid? Did I mention anything about Dp's ERA?????????//

It's the fucking treatment I'm talking about you chimp chump head.
What treatment? You wouldn't be happy with any treatment he will have unless it's playing every match, since he is still useful. I don't care how and when they choose to sub him in or out, he is one player of a squad and that's it.

Forza Conte, finally a coach that has some balls to show authority. Wasn't it the thing that most wanted, o coach with balls to instill the Juve spirit back?

He is not that, Raz. Conte picks the starting men, his team is great, props to him for making an excellent team which has excited all of us again after years but Alex is not just one squad player you would use so that the substitution process would kill the last seconds. There always Giacs and Krasic's for that purpose.
