That would be really interesting to see, i doubt that they will turn into Vucinic supporters and stick around.
The girls may stay for Buffon though...
well personally speaking supporting Juve for me is like a marriage, you invest time and effort to make sure you get the most from it, although Del Piero played a influential role in my introduction to football, losing him won't make me stop supporting the club, after all it is inevitable that players do one day leave/retire, but with every one lost, a new one arrives, perhaps not immedietely, but over time.

I fell in love with Juve through Ale...I believe that they don't understand how somebody didn't. :boh:
Melo and Dusan loved Juventus because they were born Juventini. They come from Gianni Agnelli family tree roots.

All those who loved football through their idols, be it Maradona, Zidane, Del Piero, Ronaldo, Maldini or whatever have lower standards than the ones who are born cheering for the club the moment they open their eyes on this world.

And that's why you shouldn't be taken seriously.
Why? You even said it.

Oh I see, it's the "I'm bigger fan than you".
Umm no, I didn't say that.

I was only implying that some people support Del Piero and not Juventus. I'm not saying I'm a bigger fan than anyone... I remember that argument clearly and I think it's retarded.

I wouldn't stop supporting Juventus but it is very heartbreaking to see the end of an era - not just with Del Piero, with our presidents, our club, or even football the game itself. It just seems so different from years back, that's my honest opinion, we had a lot of symbolic captains then not just with juve even other teams, people who played with pure HEART, I just don't see it anymore in the game itself nowadays, everything's very political, very... shallow; that is the most depressing thing to me, look at how MU dealt with Keane etc. etc. - the game has been too tarnished.

If those supporting Maradona, Zidane, Del Piero, Ronaldo and Maldini left supporting the club when the player left - I'd say yes. They have lower standards than the ones supporting the club.

In terms of being a supporter of the club.

But even now you're watching Juve only when you hear he's playing.
If you actually bothered reading our posts and specially Hoori's posts (forget about mine) you'd realize that your post is not even close to reality.

There's a difference between having less interest but still liking your team and not supporting them at all.

You're twisting my words here.

I became a fan of Juve because of Del Piero and I said it many times. But since I started following Juve so closely I started to love the team so now (or whenever) Alex leaves I'll continue with my support and I will keep cheering for Juve. I don't see what's wrong with that. On the other hand, when somebody stops following Juve because Del Piero left then I find it weird, especially because some were watching Juve for over 10 years.

Saved my couple of minutes to post exactly this. I love how our words are being twisted around.

Well, you clearly wanted to define what type of fans we are and make your own judgment.

Lets act a bit grown up.

Look guys, let me clear myself on this. First, those who will go on with supporting the club after Ale/any otehr player retires are what I call normal fans. Fans in their right mind would not mind a player staying/leaving the club. I wish I was like that but I'm not. To me, Del Piero is football (Ranieri :D). If they let Ale finish his career at Juve in the way he wants (which is at most staying for one more year, is that too much of a demand for a player like him?), I will always be a club supporter, even if not as passionate as I am now. But if they disrespect him out of the club, they have indirectly disrespected me, I can never like them anymore. People like me are not that much so it's not something to cry over.

I'm not reading anything TBH. Not because I don't want it but because there are many pages and I don't have as much.

I posted because I saw an argument concerning this so I posted my opinion.

Melodinho, let it go. Some people just follow players. You may have got the impression that they were Juve supporters only because we were lucky enough to have Del Piero here for his whole career. They could have been Henry supporters and backed Arsenal, then Barca, then maybe even Red Bulls if they were hardcore; but they're Del Piero supporters. Nothing wrong with that. Just know that just like after Serie B, and after the Del Piero era, we'll still be here :dule:

If you're trying to be stubborn just for the sake of this argument. then there's no point discussing this.

Oh I see, it's the "I'm bigger fan than you". Thankfully, I got over this like 6-7 years ago.
No. If anyone calls the team I support "a joke" and "a disgusting club" because they disrespected Del Piero (We don't know that yet) - I'd call him or her a joke and a disgusting fan. Way to have a kneejerk reaction. At least lets wait a few days before jumping to conclusions.

I love Del Piero, but I love Juventus more.

And yes, I did become a Del Piero fan before becoming a Juventus fan because of the Azzurri.
