Good first half, really poor second one.

The difference in quality was obvious (which is on previous sporting directors not him) but his tactical inflexibility and choice of subs are a concern.

First half an hour. After that Real took full control. I feel they played in 2nd gear and on occasion increased the tempo. I know we are no match atm but his subs, taking Yildiz off, left us with no chance.

We sort of gave up before it was over by subbing out both Yildiz and Conceicao before the 70th min while the game was still only 1:0, which was odd to say the least, although it was already looking like we had lost the plot even earlier and only MDG was keeping the game within close margins, however we still remained in the game and looking to counter despite the adversity and obvious difference in quality between the two sides, and ultimately we got out of this in honorable fashion compared to other nights, but once again are left with a bitter taste.

I really liked Tudor as a player and respect what he did for us last season so I don't want to end up hating him but he is not going to be successful long term.

I’ve never lost trust in a coach this fast. What a clown. Single-handedly responsible for the debacle against City, and took away all our chances today with his in-game management. Why did our best and arguably only real threat play just 90 minutes over these 2 crucial games? The way he handled the last few days is sack-worthy.

Imagine you rest half the team for this game, only to take them off after 60-70 mins. Either our players are no professional football players that can keep up for 90 mins or something is really wrong in training

Anybody complaining about this game is insane. Subs or whatever sure some were dumb and some terrible.

But pulling off that first 45 against real Madrid in a competition they clearly care about in his fifth game with this clown car squad is a great sign

If DeGregorio had a mediocre game today, you’d be complaining as well. He’s the only reason we only lost by one goal.

I’m not ready to give up on him yet. Who else out there right now could really turn this team around? I wasn’t thrilled with him sticking to a back 3 when Kelly got injured. He should have shown more tactical flexibility and switched to a back 4 when it was clearly needed. If he wants to be taken seriously and actually help this club, he can’t be a one-trick pony.

The 3-4-2-1 isn’t trash, but you need quality defenders to make it work. Setting Tudor up for success means: getting quality defensive reinforcements, signing a strong midfielder who can drive play and link up with the forwards. Locatelli isn’t it, Koopmeiners isn’t it, Douglas is, but clearly Tudor’s given up on him. So fucking sell him and bring in someone who will thrive in that role.

Our attack is the easiest fix, we already have some strong options up front, just need the cherry on top.
