Agree. I never understood those saying this tournament is meaningless. If it is....all the more to go all in. If Madrid and Bayern didn't take it seriously all the more easy for us to take the huge payday home.

I wish this would have been easier, but Tudor fucked up the game plan against City. We basically guaranteed ourselves a clash with one of the top favourites to win it all, right next to City. You don't need to rotate to know who is shit and it doesn't take a genius to see how limited Kelly, Nico, and Vlahovic are. He wanted to rest the important players, that is all. He doesn't have many options on the bench. Thuram and Yildiz are at high level but in other departments everyone is at the same level(I give higher rate to Kalulu than other DFs), we are gonna have a young team with a young coach and the way of playing will be surly better than Motta's team.

Well in this regard Idk how it's hard to understand you don't have a 25-men squad to only use 11 and at times - for example when already qualified, when faced with a game you'll lose anyway or in preseason or even better; all three of them - you try to use some other guys to keep some guys happy and other guys fresh.

That doesn't mean you don't want to win. It possibly means some guys were tired, the next game was valued more or whatever dozens of reasons you can think of but def not him wanting to lose the game. You're not listening to his words or the team's if you think that.

Its not a CL level of prestige but from what Im gathering around it is more than a friendly. The tournament has a decent following in the media. Juventus should not concede 5 goals in a game, 2 shots on target, less than 30% on the ball. That is unacceptable. He messed up a lineup. Id sack him on a spot after that match. Lets see what he can do against Real, but another pounding and he should fuck off. What I hate is seeing our players being scared on the ball, most of them are looking to get rid of it asap. It shouldn't be. How tf are we gonna attract new generations playing like this? Us oldies will follow the club regardless but we did not become fans of a mediocre European club when we started watching football. Juventus represented the very best a football team can give. I see no incentive for new generations to tune in and watch our games.

Here's the thought process of a normal person: 1) Would you rather face Real or Al Hilal/Salzburg? Answer: Al Hilal/Salzburg. I (my team) would face Real if I have to. Of course, I want an easier route (not easy, but the word is 'easier').
2) How do I avoid playing Real unnecessary? Answer: By topping my group.
3) Should I make wholesale changes of my team to face City to top my group, knowing City is a tough opponent? Answer: No. At least with the starting XI, I would have a CHANCE. With a bunch of reserve players, I would have NO CHANCE.

Well as I said; there's truth to both. No one I know is watching these shitty games in Belgium.

After the season we had, we could use some decent exposure but that won't happen in a fucking friendly, lol. A lot of fans just aren't realistic in any sense of the word. Even if we had won here, nothing would have changed.

We didn’t even need to win to finish 1st as well.

With our full strength team on and us taking it somewhat seriously, we could easily have gotten a draw. Or at least tried to and if we lost, maybe make it close and or respectable.

2-5 is a fucking embarrassment in an official game. Not good enough at all. And with the Weah drama, this scoreline and the lack of movement in transfers etc, more negative energy is radiating this club, yet again.

True, certainly. You also do so by not ignoring half of the team at a tournament that already shortened their vacation. And not playing them now, would've basically meant not playing them at all. So whether we agree with it or not because that's everyone's personal vision on it, it's perfectly explicable why.

Imo we didn't have a great chance to finish first. As soon as City was drawn in our group we were second at best without a miracle. City is one of the three best teams in the world. They just happened to have a hiccup period past season but they're certainly still up there in terms of quality.
