If you're given a map of Europe, can you guess the names of all European countries? (2 Viewers)

Yeah, I guess if they would give me a map of the Middle East and said name all these worthless slums, I would probably not do well.

Rebel started a whole thread to make fun of a few Americans who don't know every country in Europe. Just trying to show him his ways of hypocrisy.
do they teach you in school about different states in other countries?

you cant compare states in the US with real countries in Europe. thats two different things. the US is a single country, while in Europe there are different countries with different languages and cultures. and besides, states of america arent shown on a world map anyway, so if you want to learn them you have to get a political map of USA (i also can name and find on a map 35-40 of the states in the US, btw). the equivalent of naming (or finding on a map, whatever) states in the US would be naming the federal states in Germany. Italy, Spain etc...

on a Europe map, i can name all countries (+ their capital cities). on a world map the same. i think i only wouldnt know some of Oceania's or 1-2 Central America's countries. thats basic geography.

yep, not denying that. i meant you cant compare them in terms of the threads title. you wont get to see the federal states on a larger political map (North America, world) than the map of the US. thats what i meant. if you take a map of Europe, you see all those countries, if you take a map of N. America, you see Canada, USA, Mexico etc.

refer to map i posted in first page, states in the US are basically countries except for the sovereignty part, their economies and size are as big as that of countries
Provinces in China are basically countries except for the souvereignity part, their economies and size are as big as that of countries

States are a bunch of squares.. Countries in Europe have different shapes.. That's why everyone knows which one is Texas and never guess which one is Iowa or Nebraska
