It's theoretically true but no one takes that as a racist saying even though it has to go both ways, otherwise, this is exactly where the racism happens. Fining the fans for booing a black player but then letting such a thing go when it comes to the white players of different nationalities is racist towards the BLACK player: Because you're weak, because you are poor, because you're black, we support you.

By the way this is a classic chant and if the League continue to punish Juventus we should take legal action as the chant is not racist. If the grounds they use are based on offensive chanting then we could cite several examples where other teams are not punished. In short, Juventus are singled out because of the high profile, that isn't acceptable.

Club won't do it, though, because it wouldn't fit with the nice post-Calciopoli image.

It would probably be seen as defending or condoning racism.

Better that Juve fans do what Aberdeen do: keep the really offensive chants in the bars and supporters buses and out of the stadium.

At some cases, yeah I agree with you. Some of them are touchy and love the drama. But this one is very clear Hoori. Italians (Some/most) are racists, I know how they treat foreigners and specially the blacks. I saw that day on news how people of some Italian village or small city went mad against the black people who work there, they forced them out of that area, that was terrible.

This is the case with Balotelli, I hate to defend that prick, but that is the reality. He is born and raised in Italy, so he should be all welcomed to play in the national team, but some of Italians are against that. Why? Because he is not white, and not because of his behavior. Cassano was an idiot like him too, but no one did anything ugly like this against him when he was called, why? Because he isn't black, he is one of them, blacks are the "other" people for them..

Why not fine clubs that Boo and chant against Ronaldo? Why not fine Manchester United when Patrick Vieira was booed by Manchester United fans back then? Vice versa with Roy keane.

The racism itself is when you make a big deal out of it and fine the club because they booed someone who happens to be a black player, that's racism. It's not going to stop if they fine our club. We will hear it for many years to come.

Thank you. That kind of reaction only breeds more racism. It keeps it alive. People need to be less sensitive about stuff like that.

Did Napoli get fined for launching flares into our stands?

Specially to cases like Balotelli. Because the more you punish/fine etc the more you're highlighting that fact that he's a black player. If they would just ignore then the attention wouldn't be so much on Balotelli.

Good question. They only noticed the chants towards Balotelli:shifty:

I guess the club has a duty to send a message to their fans though. Because you don't want it getting out of hand where every black player gets monkey chanted at.

But it's like when a little kid falls. Depending on how you react, he will react. If you run up to him and act worried, he will cry. If you just pick him up and say it's nothing, normally he will be okay.

The league is discriminating against Juventus then.
