You know the prime reason why it's everywhere, right? For the same reasons game shows had a minor resurgence too.

They're awfully cheap to produce, and they require minimalist writing.

Reality shows really took off in the U.S. when there was a major screenwriters strike in television. The studios then looked to a handful of successful programs overseas that required minimal writing (like Big Brother), and voila! We're in it now.

The good news is that it is a fad, and many will fall to the wayside soon enough as the novelty fades.

The Real World was in Trinidad and Tobago last month actually. Well, they were in Tobago mainly.

My friend whose in the band I tried to promote the other day, The Orange Sky, yea well they played for them and it was filmed.

If that episode gets aired, they will be on MTV.

Oh btw, to the people in the US, they are releasing their album September 13th. Trust me, it's pretty good stuff. Buy it. Help them out.
