tacchinardi is also limited and doesnt offer what other DM do for other teams. Vieira, Emerson, Pirlo, Xavi for example...all players who do what tacchinardi does except they are better passes, they have better general skill and they offer more offensively.
I certainly understand you point Adrian, three seasons ago I was saying the same. I think that recently(last couple of seasons) he has improved.

IMO, it's not Tacchis lack of offensive capability that's the problem, it's his will to do more than he's capable of. He used to do that a lot more before I think.

That said, I wouldn't mind switching him with Emerson or Viera. ;)

but before joining Piancenza, Maresca was more of a holding midfielder. at piacenza, he developed offensive skills. but there is no reason why he cant play the role of tacchinardi like Pirlo does for milan. Even it means having a player appiah next to him doing the hard work like gattuso does for pirlo. maybe for this to work better, instead of having camo, drop nedved deeper in midfield and have maresca, nedved and appiah as the three in midfield...so at least you have more hardworkers and then you can play a playmaker behind the forwards.

something like that would at least give us some form of creativeness in our team. we might actually show some exciting football for a change.

maybe...i like your way of thinking.

but nedved is far better in a free role, when he isnt he underperforms, like when he first joined.

i think we could have a good 3 man midfield like milans. where they have seedorf and gatusso on either side of pirlo, the creative centre...we have appiah and camoranesi.

camoranesi wouldnt fit. but another could do. its all about the balance.
