because he has more hair than zidane, and everyone knows beauty is the most important quality of a juventus player

can some1 enlighten me?
I can't believe if it was about the money, how can they sold world's best player of the decade, even one of the greatest of all time???
personally,i dont think he was either the best player of the last decade, and surely not one of the greatest ever.
but yes, selling him for a world record fee and then getting buffon and nedved - i cant compain.

we did the right choice,
we sell the right man, the right time, to the right team and then used the money to buy the right players,
Zidane wasnt as good as he used to be, the last months with us(some CL red cards) some lack of form, speed and power
he was in the right age and contract age to be sold,
it was the last days of big money transfering too
and his wife was desperate to leave Turin for Spain...

we sold him because he really wasnt and never was a very good player
i sorta agree with you.ill never get how he won his 3rd world player of the year award when he did nothing spectacular that season.the likes of nedved and henry were way ahead of him that season.

and i know ill get a lot of shit for saying this, but i dont think zidane is as good as people call him.he is a great player, but i wouldnt call him a football legend by any means.he was one of the best in the world at his peak, and thats about it.

i agree but think that the are no players today like Platini and Baggio,Zidane wasnt as good as they are but he was the closest football had to offer at the moment,
he was the biggest asset money can buy,
i believe even real knew that,
they just bought his name,
they prooved thats all what they want.
i agree on the player of the year award too,
they never rate the best player according to his play but his name, popularity and connections,
i can see Zidane to find a place in uefa after retirement

i guess you're right.zidane wasnt as great as baggio, platini etc but he was the best of his generation.but i do belive that there are other players that could challenge zidane's mantle as te best player of the last decade.george hadgi(i really dont know how to spell his name) would most certainly qualify as one.
i would rate arial ortega extremley highly too when you look at great players from the 90's as far as pure skill is involved.but he never really developed into the legend that i was hoping he would.
rivaldo would be a serious contender too.
