as you might already know, i'm a new member and i couldn't figure out what points, bank and reputations are... how do you earn points? what are reputation points? what are they useful for?

Bank and points refer to v-Cash. Have a look at the first post here:

Reputation is pretty much what it says on the tin: all forum members can vote on your posts (and vice versa) to increase or decrease your reputation, which is shown by the green dots on the left, under your avatar. The button to increase or take reputation is at the bottom left of each post.

You get points when people hit the "add rep" button on your posts. The actual numbers involved are a bit complicated - different members give different amounts of reputation (depends on their number of posts, the length of time they're here, etc.), and the scale is a bit odd too. In short, I don't know, and I recommend that you not want to know! :wink:
