Yes, I remember last year when Arsenal were cruising along. Then Mr. Wenger tempted fate by saying his club looked "unbeatable". After that, the Arsenal went right down the toilet. Each season every great club will go through highs and lows, you just have to recover from the lows in time to save your season.

I think Arsenal will remain unbeaten and win the title :)

I mean would it be possible to be unbeaten and still not win the title?! Ahahaha..
Yes i think they can still be unbeaten and draw in a lot of matchs and at the end Man united will take it :D

    Yes it is.

Perugia in 1979 did not lose a game in the whole tournament, yet they finished second behind Rivera's last Milan.

Unsurprisingly, Milan is the only team to have won the league without losing a game (1991-92).

    interesting facts.
I sure don't want arsenal to win the EPL this year (sorry arsey fans)

but, as good as Roma is (and i'm not denying that they're good) Serie A is just competitive and... unpredictable. Even if Roma were to win the Serie A they'll do it the hard way- Juve and Milan (not sure bout Inter & Lazio) won't give in so easily

Besides Lazio which is a derby and where every year its important, Roma has NOT beaten one big team this season. Tie against Juve, tie against Inter, loss to Milan. Then in the game of their season they play like arrogant spoiled brats acting as if they are in a practice game. Totti was unable to penetrate through the 35+ Maldini and Costacurta and he expects us to believe he deserved the Golden Ball over Nedved?
Cassano (save for the goal which was a result of the dis-organization of Milan's D to band together for the corner) was unable to penetrate Costacurta. His cockiness and attitude is laughable now.
The so-called strongest awe inspiring defence with incredible stats in Italy got burned 4 times by Sheva. Two resulted in goals...one the keeper got a hand on and the other he shot wide. They penetrated that D like a Serie C 1 team.
If they want to classify themselves with the teams who are reigning champs...they have to earn it.

I never thought I'd live long enough to see Ancelloti being called a genius! Am still shocked. I think you might want to reconsider that label Febrina.

And good to see you :)
Hi, good to see you too, Ali :)

I called him genius cos I think he's done a good job in Olimpico, he's got a good formation eventho there were some players couldn't play for injuries.
    4-5-1 was pretty impressive.
....and RAI gave him 7,5...not bad at all.

Don't underestimate Roma. They are stronger than many of us might want to think, just look at the league table.

Btw they have already classified themselves "with the teams who are reigning champs," or in other words Juve.

How did they do that? They have not beaten Juve (reigning Italian Champs) Milan (reigning CL champs and Coppa Italia champs) or Inter. Three big encounters before the half and they have come up short. Why should they be classified on that level? Because they beat the small teams while teams like Milan and Juve were busy qualifying for the CL league to which Roma because of their disaster in the league last season failed to qualify for?
The half way mark has not even come yet. Rome has simply illustrated that
    a) they have a much improved team than last season.
    b) the players seem to do well as a unit.
    c) having a fairly young team they are in a better position than Milan and Juve in terms of injury prone players and reliability.

How have they classified themselves with Juve and Milan?

Big teams like Juve and Milan have come up BIG when they needed it most: vs. Barcelona..vs. Ajax.
Big teams like Juve and Milan have other obligations in terms of champions league matches in addition TO Coppa Italia.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, players like Maldini, Del Piero, Nedved and Shevchenko have the class and maturity not to open their mouth TOO soon and later make themselves look ridiculous when the 'old guard' teach them a lesson in football.

Bet Man U fans would also said the same thing bout RVN if DP missed ;)
Given it was the first penalty he'd missed for Man Utd, they'd have given you pretty good odds too! :D

I like it when someone puts Roma where it belongs..

I don't see them as big as most people here think.. in 2000/2001 they showed the same form, but in the following two years they sucked big time in both serie A and the CL.. they seemed not able to play well in two big competitions at the same time.. unlike Juve, milan, ManU, Real. etc..
