I'm not sure I'm getting all the romanticity here either. The guy is making a lifelong personal commitment to the one he loves. Somehow involving a room packed with total strangers at a rockabilly show makes it romantic? This is about the two of them, and the woman was put in a terribly awkward situation too.

Sorry, risking humliation as publicly as possible is what it is... and it isn't necessary romantic.

Well, call me a curmudgeon...

Hey guys… This it what I did…

In the south of Sweden there are a great Viking burial site called “Ale stenar” at a cliff/mountin called “Kåseberga”. This place is right at the ocean and if you go to the top you se the ocean straight down about a 100 meters below.

I woke my fiancé up at 5 a clock and told here to come with me in the car.
Drove the 15 kilometers to the sea and parked the car. It was dark outside and 30 minutes before sunset. We walked for 25 minutes up to the burial place on the cliff just the two of us and the nature. She asked be time after time what I was up to and I just smiled and hold her hand. As we arrived up on the top we walked to the edge and kissed in the exact moment of the sunrise. The sea just exploded when the sun hit the surface and we looked together as the day was borne. After a while she looked down and saw the words “Malin, will you marry me?” on the beach written in 3 meters big letters with stones.

I was there all night writing the words and I had to climb down the cliffs in order to get down there.

And thats romantic!???
