But seriously, I didn't know turkey was big on christmas. Geese or ducks maybe.

We're donating it so homeless people can knit sweaters. They may be a little scratchy but at least they'll be warm.

Italy - Christmas Eve Night of "Seven Fishes" ( but its usually a lot more) presents opened two times once after midnight on christmas eve and then some smaller presents on January 7th on the epiphany. Christmas Day mass and spend the day with the family.

USA - Same as above just without gifts on the 7th

Decorations in italy Nativity (indoor usually under the tree) , lights outside minimal, alot of garland and a christmas tree
Decorations in the USA Nativity( outdoor and indoor), houses completely decorated, and Christmas tree

Always celebrated with extended family, close family friends as well. Example only my mothers side is here in USA and we have around 50 in house those days

I Don't celebrate it.
Thats my plan for when i have my own family. I find the whole thing very very cynical, I don't need a day to show the people I care about that I love them and I am not a christian. I would rather have family meals more often where there isnt the pressure that creates all the arguments. I am a big boy and I don't need presents and I tell people to either donate money to charity or not get me anything when they ask what I want.

Would you do something else fun for the kids? I don't know, I'd feel like they'd be missing out if I didn't give them any big holiday at all.

If I have children I would rather we did stuff all year, they will get it from there schools and society regardless. As you know I don't plan on living here so hopefully I will be in a country where this isn't celebrated and it wont be an issue.

But they will probably celebrate something else.
