One of the teachings of Eurocup 2004 was that the games schedule of the big european teams had become to heavy for many of the players that are titular in his normal team...i remember Zidane face against Grecce, he was tired to the bones, probably thinking: "lets finish this shit. I want out. i need vacations"

True, Zidane in particular shouldn't have gone on the "Fundraising Tour" of Asia last summer.

Championships, cups, eurocups, official nationals, friendly nationals, summer warm-ups, practices- pretty heavy burden on the players.
