You're missing the point here. She had to be consistent you see. Either she stood up for me, but didn't talk to this guy the very next day or she didn't stand up for me. Either way would have worked for me, I wouldn't have cared.

Yeah, but she's still another person. Either way, she still has the right to decide whom she can or cannot talk to. She's your friend, and proved to be when she stood up for you. But if she's your friend, if you go to war with someone doesn't mean she has to too if she had nothing against the other person.
