why not? Davids is one of the best players for me. I just love his passion on the field, the one who gave him the nick 'pitbull' is a genius because it describes him well. please yes ronaldinho and xavi are main course for barca's victory but davids' presence IMO changed barca's course a bit, they were like a whole new alive team and they started killing their opponents. anyone would anyway if they have davids in their team in the first place. barca doesn't owe davids anything, football is a team game but davids' presence imo was vital to the team.
