Coco to Inter: Please release me!
Wednesday 10 January, 2007
Francesco Coco insists that he is no longer happy at San Siro. “I would like Inter to sell me,” he fumed.

The defender was out of action for the first part of the season with the latest in a long line of injuries, but he declared that he has now fully recovered, although the club seems to ignore the fact.

“It seems to me that Inter are not interested in letting anyone know that I am feeling better, giving me a chance or allowing me to leave to play elsewhere,” said the former Italian international on Play Radio.

“Since I recovered from my back injury I have never been considered here. I was not given the chance to prove that I could still be an Inter player. I accepted all decisions and moved on,” added the ex-Milan man, who is contracted to the Via Durini outfit until 2009.

“I am feeling much better now and I would like to feel that Inter somehow look after me. There are several clubs interested in my services, but they do not know what my condition is and the Nerazzurri do nothing to help them understand.

“They told me that I had to undergo surgery to solve my back problems in 2003 and said that I would have to stop for a month, instead I was sidelined for almost two years.

“They made a mistake and then they just let me rot there,” concluded Coco, who did not leave with the rest of team for Bahrain, where the squad trained during the winter break.

Coco? Wow. Shows you much he's played. I seriously thought he retired or got shipped off to France or something.

Lol, Inter screwed many careers! Canna and Martins and Adrianoare the best examples. They now have like a squad they can form 4 teams with and i still dont get why all those players choose for Inter. Must be Moratti's money or the illusion they will rule Serie A for a long time and i don't see that happening because next year all the punished teams will recover with new transfers including us if we get promoted and i know we will. They will fear us more then the years before!

Francesco Toldo's too! He was a very promising keeper until inter bought him & left him to vegetate as a second keeper to julio cesar soares espindola, along with carini & orlandoni.

Stephane Dalmat is my favorite. He was sought after by all of Europe, and he did look like a class apart at Marseille, and then boom, Inter comes in, and his career fades into obscurity (I am sure Inter paid him well though).

Farinos, Sebastien Frey, Matteo Ferrari, Dennis Bergkamp, Roberto Carlos, Nicola Berti, Giovanni Stroppa comes to my mind.

Speaking of Coco being Maldini, Inter can take pride in destroying future Baresi in the form of Salvatore Fresi. He was absolute stud back in the mid 90s, and regarded virtually by all to be the best prospect in the game. Not bad is it!

Oh did I mentioned they turned down the great Franco Baresi himself, who was a hardscore Inter supporter during his childhood!

Finally someone agrees with me about Dalmat. I loved his game, after he came to Inter he just disappeared :disagree:
