Hey guys

Okay here's the deal, I just got a new drive (D :) with 250 GB capacity. I formatted my C: drive (Windows XP Proffesional) to make it work fast and put everything into my D: drive to make the Windows run faster and save some RAM. Now the problem is, everytime I install something to D: like Firefox or Winzip, Windows doesn't recognize it and doesn't put it in (Start->All Porgrams), it's not being shown there, it's like the drives aren't connected. Can anyone please tell me what to do ?

Cheers

Yes, Ubuntu, but not the crazy Christian edition, the regular one. :D

    This is what you do...
    1) Install this: http://www.deepburner.com/download/DeepBurner1.exe
    2) Burn the iso you downloaded onto a blank cd-r/cd-rw
    3) Slide the cd into the tray, reboot

    *magic time* :D
Sweet, but you do know what I am talking about right ? 2 drives, both NTFS, want 1 drive to collaborate with the other because the other one doesn't recognize the Windows registries or whatever. This is the one to fix it, right? 100% Martin?

    You're scaring me :D

Shall I disable my D drive before installing it ?

No, I'm just messing with you. The "fix" I gave you will boot up the ubuntu livecd. From there you can use ubuntu from the cd or you can install it on your system.

It doesn't do anything to fix your problem however. :D

    can you make it clearer?
I don't understand how formatting your C drive can make your windows run faster.
As well as put everything to D drive can make windows run faster(possible if your new drive is much faster than your old drive) and save some RAM.
What do you mean with put everything? you reinstall your windows?or you just copy everything from C to D before you format your C drive?or you use special software like Ghost, Disc director or what?

And how do you install the firefox or winzip? you copy paste the programs? or using the installation files?(setup.exe, etc..)
