Well im sure I would have hated it there also. Those places are too country, you need the city to make this country livable.
Hell you do, English cities stink. Terrible architecture and planning, not to mention the social divides.

Ever been to London? Most foreign people who live in London never want to leave.

It is damned good it has to be said :D
Been there three times and I've seen it. Couldn't live there.

I'm an Amsterdam person.

So go. We can do an exchange. I'd love to go to Australia, you can come to Europe.

What do you say? Six months? There has to be SOME sort of television channel willing to fund that in return for broadcasting :D

There's really nothing to do here; most of the city goes to sleep at 6pm.

As for the TV broadcasting, I wouldn't count on any Australian channel doing anything worth writing home about. After all, they chose to show Arsenal this morning :groan:

6 months sounds ok, but I'd gladly go for a year

That desperate eh? Must be one sucky place.

BTW, 6pm?? Isn't Sydney... big?? Amsterdam only counts slightly over 1million people but it never sleeps :undecide:

It's more about the culture than the population.

Sydney's a very "stay home with your family on Christmas day watching slide shows of old family photos" kind of place. Of course there's the clubbing scene etc, but it's generally a quiet city.

I heard it from more than one person that Brighton is a very nice place
I live near there and yeah it's OK. A nice mix of people, it's getting quite fashionable to live there now.

Yeah Manchester is real nice. Everyone I know who went there got robbed.
I didn't :D

Can't you choose Holland? Most of our universities teach in English anyway and 96% of people of have degree in the language so you would never even have to learn a single word of Dutch, yet you could go to a nice place!
Ognuno tira l'acqua al suo mulino, eh? ;)

Anyway, I really don't know I still have to decide... But thanks to you all for the advice :)

Hi guys and girls, I'm simolatrottola aka simo, I write from Milano and I'm a great Juventus' supporter, I'm not so able to speak english but I think it will be interesting share minds and opinions about our favourite team. I write on some italian forum but I think it's important to know what foreign people think and talk about Juve because sometimes to be far from a situation permise to be more objective... you can't immagine how many discussions there are after Roma vs Juve here in Italy...

However, now it's late... I'll go to my bed...

Oh, I forgot the 9th I'll be at delle alpi, like always!

Forza JUve!!!

PS is there some othere italian guys or girls?
Another one from the j1897 site hahaha. I go there too. Benvenuto. Faccio parte di 3 forum, se vuoi venire su l'altro che vado io mandami un pm.

ciao
