
Italian football legend Marco Tardelli celebrates his 58th birthday today.
The former midfielder, who represented Juventus between 1975 and 1985, is much loved by the supporters after forming part of one of the most successful Bianconeri sides of all time.
During his 11-season stint with the club, Tardelli lifted the European Cup, Cup Winners’ Cup, UEFA Cup, European Super Cup, two Italian Cups and five Scudetto titles. He made a total of 377 appearances and struck 52 goals.
Tardelli, who now works alongside Giovani Trapattoni as part of the Republic of Ireland backroom staff, also formed part of the victorious Azzurri World Cup winning side in 1982. His place in football folklore was cemented with his goal and unforgettable celebration against West Germany in the final.
