Sorry to hear that Dule, my left knee has been giving me some trouble the past few weeks. I've been avoiding doing strenuous leg workouts since. I've been taking cod liver oil pills and glucosamine tablets which seems to have eased the pain slightly. I'm going to give it another week and then start back with squats and lunges (using light weights at first).

Outside the knee or underneath?
Hmm, pretty sure it's underneath.

You know what I did today? I said FUCK IT! And left to do my workout, starting with 108kg squat. I didn't feel pain today.

Alright :weee: that's great to hear man. Do you wear knee supports or anything?

I'm about 10kg away from benching my own body weight now. Managed two reps of 75kg this afternoon

Nice!

Nope, I'm not wearing knee supports nor using that belt.

Btw, I measured my weight and I'm 78kg right now. Last summer I was at 69, lol.

Bloody hell, that's a serious gain. What do you attribute it to, would you say it's more diet or more work?

I'm struggling to put away more than 3K calories a day, with work it gets harder to slip away for extra meals.

Don't worry then, it's just exhaustion. Focus on your squat technique and if you want rest your legs a couple of days.

That's great to hear tbh. And it makes sense, as I'm lifting heavy for legs 3 times per week.

Don't be fooled by numbers. I looked better when I had ~74-75kg. I do look bigger (much actually) but majority of those are fat. When I'm standing my stomach is still flat, so it's not so bad I guess. But I do look bigger.. especially my back and legs have grown. As for the results, I'd give the edge to workout as my diet is never good. Since I started doing 5x5 I've noticed impressive results for both size and strength

that's good to know Zach, thanks for the response. I wear a knee support every time I go to the gym, dunno if it actually helps or whether it's a mental thing, like Cech's rugby cap :D

Move up in small increments. Do workouts that stack. So start very low and move up to where you struggle.
My problem is that I used my college's piece of shit gym because it's free for me. It's very limited there. Take the bench, for example. It's a machine and the weights only go up in increments of 15 pounds. On that specifically I max out on 130, so I figure do 12 on 85, 10 on 100, 10 on 115, 8 on 130, then go down to 70 or 85 and do as many as possible. Should I change that in any way?

Have been Kickboxing since the start of March at least 3 times a week and am still having trouble with my fitness i run for 20mins before the start of every training session which last an hour and half each but my cardio still isnt any where near as good as it should be, i just can't seem to get any better at running i am still as tired at the end of each run as i was when i started back in March and i've quit drinking, smoking and improved my diet.. i am a bit fitter but not much, i seem to have hit a wall. Should i start running on what are normally my rest days? i am afraid of over doing it and realise how important rest and recovery is but surely i must have to do more in order to improve? I'm not fit to run any more than 20min so increasing the length of run is not really an option as it will tire me out too much before training.
