Yeah, but did he actually do any of that stuff? When I remember back to the golden days I don't remember ever seeing Bettega's name connected to any particular action, he seemed to just be there for show.

Which btw would explain how he was never implicated in Calciopoli.
Yeah he was always called the figurehead, and now he is heralded as the man of change?

So this is all about not wanting to pay Ciro compensation. This move should have happened in december already.:sergio:
absolutely

100% agree, there must be some reason why we haven't sacked him by now.

The only reasons I can see are that we just can't afford to or Hiddink does not want it and we cannot find an alternative.

I think we just have to splash whatever we can for Hiddink, it could be a small price to pay to make sure that we get into the champions league.

But if we can't get Hiddink, who can we go for?
IMHO talks with Hiddink were advanced, its possible they broke down over wages, but if you want the top coaches, you simply MUST pay the going rate

damn i wish we had Capello back, that pinch faced fucker may have played shite football but it was winning football

The dreams will start once again.
of course they will,it is times like this that (should) make us love the team more, that should make the rise more satisfying and the victories even sweeter

however, tooo many of us have been spoiled by success

Speaking about Capello, is he gona retire after world cup?
i would take him now,but if (god forbid) England win the world cup he will almost certainly go back to clubs and get ne final pay-off as the most expensive coach in world football

if England get knocked out first round we might be able to afford him

He could say he got depression watching England fail and get out of his contract and sign for Juve.

I'm afraid we can only afford rookie managers, ala Ferrara, so we're sticking to him...it wouldn't do us good if we keep getting average and new unexperienced coaches. We don't have any cash left, even if we get somebody on the transfer market it's going to be a loan deal.

Anyway, seems like our board has no clue in business then. If we have money problems, sell the club then, and get an owner who has money. Money talks in todays football as much as good coach.

I am sure there are people around who would be interested.
