I hate to be alone when I try to be optimistic

I don't think many things changed tonight, I still see him coming but we must wait anyhow.
It's not the match that changed things, it's Blanc's announcements and Hiddink's agent's announcements.

at least now we can understand the real power of media, they are manipulating us, like we were little child. tomorrow they´ll say ciro is safe, but they spotted guus again in pub, and etc.

and newspapers are being sold like never before...

To be honest with you,my Belarus friend, our youngsters (apart from Marchisio) didn't have a proper chance anyway, so if I have to chose I'd chose Guus anytime. :)
Guus is decision. but short time.
Maybe we have to choose coach who'll be with us for a long time, who'll bring our youngsters into team and revive Juve-spirit and so on?

BTW, it's possible, that someone of our youngsters is new DP, but... we never give him chance. DP had played 29 serieA matches in 20 years old. Now he'll never got this chance and will be loaned to some bari or siena, and will be forgotten after some years.

Well I still think Hiddink's agent is an ass.

As for Blanc, I can understand that. We won and the match against Chievo awaits us. He has to protect the coach, he can't say anything else but that.

one thing is for sure, if this win is going to save silvie's ass for another coupla games, we'll def loose goose, cuz there are so many teams who won't hesitate to sign him as their coach.

Couple of points that we should take a note of regarding Guus.

Firstly his a manager who says it as it is and how it is.. we saw that during his spell in spain with real, betis and valencia never did go down well with this. That plus maybe just maybe he wasnt suited to the spanish way of things. We also saw this when he fell out with edgar davids and thus resulting on disrupting the dutch harmony during euro 96. I think Guus is starting too look better than he was, the experience has certainly taught him more but when you manage smaller nations and try to make them big.. this isnt the same as managing a big team and bringing them up to the level where they belong. The expectation will be higher, yet I agree at chelsea he did do exemplary well but when you look at his roster you gotta see it in a realistic way and understand that either he could be something terrific for us.. or just another coach who will leave before we even think about saying goodbye. That said I aint having a go at those who believe he will make a rapid and huge difference as sadly, i personally dont know what will make a difference, but I certainly hope for the best...

So you are backing Ciro, who has no experience to succeed?

Good post!

My biggest concern is that with him we probably won't have long term plan, and when I say that I mean in season or two we will be in search for a new coach, and new coach brings new player, tactics etc. That's what worries me.

I'm sorry to interupt, I know it's not my discussion. But what i think he is trying to say is that we cannot expect wonders from Guus. Ofcourse he is way, waaaay better than Ciro and everyone would pick him at any time. But we cannot expect instant succes.

Im saying lets keep our options open.. what have we got to lose? I think we can get 3rd or 4th spot enough to get us to cl or knockouts. Coppa really doesnt mean much. Towards the end of the season who knows we may have more coaches to pick from but I certainly for one a) wouldnt raise my hopes in thinking hiddink would join us, especially when you consider how he carefully chooses his projects (liverpool might be enticing for him) and b) even if he did that he would and canot expect him to make a magical difference, his struggled at big clubs in the past and certainly could do it again, so lets all save ourselfs the happy wishful thinking. It reminds me of vialli's statement when he said he really doesnt know whats the solution, to be perfectly honest I dont know too, but what I certainly do know is that all bad trees grows from the roots and our management will proberly never wise up.

Guys ,Guus is not the coach that will wait whether Ferrara is gonna win or lose to step in as a coach!!! The scenario seems so unreal and non serious!!
If our board is gonna consider Ferrara's position every few weeks (1 win-3 loses) than we are really marked to be doomed.
I see Guus in some other bigger club than Juve!

How do you know we can get 3-4th spot? Check the table and check how many teams are running for the european spots. We have lost already 6 games, which is too much, and with Ciros consistency, you can never be too sure what will happen as the season goes on.
